Workshop cleaning

My special method to clean my workshop

Unfortunately, I don't have a professional dust extraction system in my workshop. As a result, the workshop becomes very dusty after larger projects.

I developed a cleaning method for my workshop which allows me to clean the entire shop with the minimum of effort and with good results.

I use an electric leaf blower to remove the dust inside the tool cabinets and the workbench. Once the cabinets and the workbench are free of dust, I close all the doors of the cabinets and the workbench.

Then I blow the dust out of the machine tables and the rest of the workshop and I wait an hour to let the dust settle on the floor. Then I wipe the dust together on the workbench and on the floor. The remaining dust on machines, lights, tubes or other installations is blown up a second time with the leaf blower. Again the dust settles on the floor within an hour. This time, however, the amount of dust is significantly smaller than the first time. If necessary, the whole exercise can be done a third time. Each time, the remaining amount of dust is reduced until the workshop is practically dust-free.

An easy and efficient way how to clean up the workshop.
