My DeWalt DWE7492; what is good and what can be improved

After a profound evaluation of various table saws in the price segment of up to CHF 1'000.--, the DeWalt DWE7492 has shown to be the best circular saw vailable on the market today.

This saw is a very robust device and of high quality. The following points make the differences:

1. Rip fence

2. Quality and choice of material

3. Standard sliding rails

4. Measurement display

5. Quickly exchangeable riving knife

In addition to the many positive elements, there are also disadvantages. From my point of view, I noticed three issues that could be better.

A) the machine does not have a soft starter

B) The Miter gauge has play

C) The hood is large, wobbly and does not provide any protection on the front.

However, the negative issues on this saw are relatively easy to improve. This fact does also speak for this machine.

For example, I replaced the protective hood with a self-made wooden construction.

The DeWalt DWE7492 does not have a lot of functions, but the view functions she was made for, are working very well.

That is exactly what I was looking for my little home workshop.
