Free Little Library with bench

The idea for a Free Little Library with a bench in the forest was born on a trip to central Switzerland. Beside a bench was a box with books ready to be read.

I was so impressed by the idea that I decided to do something similar in our forest. My goal was to choose a design which will be as natural as possible.

I decided to integrate the Library and the bench in a woodpile as they are often seen in the forest.

The Library is made of shuttering boards and the sliding doors are made of plexiglas. The box is waterproof and keeps the books dry throughout the seasons. The photos do show the construction phase and the final result.
